This session is aimed at individuals who have experienced sleep difficulties at some point in their life; and want to better understand how to manage it. It involves exploring the processes that influence sleep and the underlying mechanisms that occur during sleep – as well as the purpose of these mechanisms. Furthermore, we discuss the medication that are often used to initiate/maintain sleep and its evidence. The group aims to deliver education, but encourages open conversations around practical solutions to address problems with sleep, equipping people with knowledge to make informed choices – whether regarding medication or factors that are within their own control. As we know, sleep difficulties is very individualised and it’s important to recognise the various areas which can influence people’s experience of sleep.

I love the beach and time with my friends and family. I have two cats called Stanley and Allen, and love nothing better than watching rugby, especially watching Italy winning (doesn't happen often). I speak Italian and enjoy travelling and meeting new people.
