Teddy Cannon

Hi I'm Teddy, I'm one of Newham Recovery College's peer tutors - I'm really delighted to be part of the team. As someone that has had my own challenges with my mental health journey I find teaching the courses and connecting with the community very rewarding. Personally, I like to travel with my partner and step-son, walk my dog and look after my two cats - I'm an animal lover. I like listening to music and attending concerts and musicals. I also enjoy yoga, gong baths, reading and watching sci-fi movies and crime documentaries.

Ed Erskine

I love my job, spending time with my cat, dancing until I ache and exploring hidden London on my bicycle.

Angela Grant

Being chilled, calm and relaxed whether by myself or with family and friends, is what I enjoy the most. I love nature and animals and try to capture their beauty through  photography. Self - Care is very important to me. Meeting new people is always interesting to me , as I learn something new with each connection, which  helps me as a lifelong learner.

'I love reading, and the smell of fresh bakery! I have pet aquarium fish, which are great to watch, whilst having a cup of Earl Grey Tea. (add tea emoji)

I enjoy spending time with family and learning about different cultures.

Kirstin Mulholland

I love the beach and time with my friends and family. I have two cats called Stanley and Allen, and love nothing better than watching rugby, especially watching Italy winning (doesn't happen often). I speak Italian and enjoy travelling and meeting new people.

Beyond being a Peer Tutor for the Recovery College…I love and thrive being around people – old and new – sharing life experiences and picking each other’s unique brains. You can find me hosting or performing poetry and spoken word in the local community or laughing and two-stepping the day away at the latest and most inclusive LGBTQIA+ events

In the world of money matters, I’m your go-to person. Budgets, financial plans, and all that jazz – consider it sorted. But hey, it's not just about the numbers; it's about creating a playground where growth and innovation can kick it.

Then there's the people part. I’m all about fostering a vibe where everyone feels like they belong, no matter what. Diversity, inclusion, and a sprinkle of support – that’s my recipe for a happy, thriving community.

I got into anime when I was 14 watching Death Note and since then have been in love with Japanese culture. I find meditation and poly vagal theory fascinating and I also am a musician and DJ.
