Can I bring my child/children?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow people under 18 years old allowed in college premises.

Do you provide translators?

Advanced booking is required, minimum 48hrs needed.

Sometimes i feel nervous in new places, can I bring a friend/relative/carer?

Your wellbeing is our priority. Whilst all our staff are trained to run the course using a CHIME principles.  We are happy for you to bring a friend, carer or relative if you require extra support whilst you settle into the college. 

Can I bring my pet?

Please notify us in advance.  You can bring a working pet.  We will need to check with other students to ensure that everyone is comfortable.

What do we expect from students?

To treat each other with dignity and respect and to value all opinions and cultures. We are not strict but because of the high demand for our courses, we ask that you consider whether you can commit to attending regularly and punctually. Please see our Student Charter for full details.

Will studying affect my benefits?

As these are courses are designed to manage your well-being and short term they should not have any effect on your benefits.

Newham Recovery College will treat all students with respect and dignity. Our purpose is to provide you with an enjoyable and meaningful learning opportunity. Please see our Student Charter for more information

Why do we gather student data?

Newham Recovery College gathers data in order to make our courses more relevant to you as our goal is to help all across Newham. Where we see we are not meeting need from the data we will use this data to make changes to meet that need. No data will be shared with any external sources or medical professionals, except in the case of an emergency; in which case, normal safeguarding rules apply.

How do I feedback?

We value any feedback and contribution to improving the Recovery College. We will be asking for feedback after every course or workshop but if you wanted to contact us please do on elft.newhamrecoverycollege@nhs.net

Where are we?

We are seeking a fixed base but we will be available to meet people in the community and will be running courses throughout Newham.
